A first-class asparagus producing tall, slender, high quality spears with tight green buds. And the flavour is superb! Delicious steamed, stir-fried or sauted and topped with butter!
Sow during March and April thinly in pots or trays in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at approx. 18-20C (65-70F) using a good quality seed compost. Cover seeds with 3mm sieved compost. Germination 14-21 days. Move resulting seedings to a cool and light area out of direct sunlight. Plant out when frost risk has passed after acclimatising (hardening off) 45cm apart. Keep weeded and watered.
