Suttons Broad Bean Giant Exhi Longpod

Pods of good length and beans of delicious flavour. Very successful on show benches. For spring sowing. White seeded variety.

Sow direcrtly into soil prepared by digging and raking at a depth of 50mm spacing the seeds 20cm apart. Best sow alternately in double rows allowing 23cm between the two lines formig each row Allow 60-90cm btween further rows. Germination takes 7-14 days. Can also be sown in pots or trays of compost on a windowsill or in a greenhouse for evnetual planting outside. Grows best in a slehetered site but not shaded, in well drained soil. Pinching out tips helps to prevent attack of blackfly and esnures well filled pods.
