White, well-protected large curds, popular for summer shows, for freezing, and straight from the garden. Summer/Autumn maturing.
Sow in January to February in a propagator on a windowsill or in a greenhouse at 10-15 celsius using good quality compost Cover seeds with 6mm sieved compost. Germination takes 7-12 days. Transplant seedlings into 75mm pots, grow on and plant outside 50cm apart each way. Can also be sown March to Mid June, into a finely raked seedbed at a depth of 13mm for eventual transplanting. Otherwise sow early autumn for over-wintering in a cold frame, planting out during spring.
