Perennial clumps of onion-flavoured, tender, spear-like green leaves. Delicious in all egg, potato and cheese dishes, in salads, and sprinkled over soups and potatoes.
Sow thinly in a 9cm pot on a windowsill or trays in a greenhouse at approx 10-15 celsius using a quality compost. Cover seeds with 13 compost. Germination takes 6-21 days. Grow on and begint to use shoots when plants are 15cm. Sow every 3-4 weeks for sucession, Alternatively sow or plant outside in containers/borders thinning to 15cm between plants.
