Suttons Courgette Atena F1

Bushy plants bearing abundant crops of tasty golden-yellow courgettes. Pick them when they’re 20cm (8″) long and bursting with flavour. Ideal for pickling too.

Sow on a windowsill or one seed per 75mm pot in a greenhouse at approx 20-25 celsius using a good quality composts. Germination takes 7-10 days. Cover seeds with 19mm compost. Grow on, planting out when risk of frost has passed, 60cm between plants each way. Can also be sown directly outside in May, two seeds per station thinning to the strongest seedling. Grows best in rich, moisture retentive soil in a sunny position. Water and harvest regularaly to ecnourage continous cropping.
Sowing -> 10-14 weeks.
