Annual with feathery blue-green foliage. Leaves and seeds may be used to flavour stews, casseroles, soups and fish dishes, and certain pickles.
Sow thinly direct into finely raked, moist, warm soil in a raised bed or garden at a depth of 13mm. Germination takes 7-14 days. Thin seedlings to 20cm between plants. Plants can also be grown in pots or other containers. Support with a cane if necessary and water well in dry weather. Use leaves fresh or dried. Harvest seed when flower heads turn brown and hang. stems upside down indoors.
